David R. Martin

David R. Martin, MD, is a Family Physician with a rigorous academic formation. Since 1996, he has concentrated on facilitating transformative healing utilizing holistic methods from both Eastern and Western traditions. In pursuit of working with the development of human potentials, he attended graduate school in electrical engineering, physics and neurobiology followed by joint M.D. training at Harvard Medical School and M.I.T. After a residency at OHSU and research fellowship at UW, he practiced Family Medicine at Group Health Cooperative for 7 years. Following apprenticeship training in five-element constitutional acupuncture, he opened his private practice in Seattle, where he integrates Anthroposophic medical practice, qi gong teaching and healing, and counseling work using a variety of entry points including dreams and the enneagram. His spiritual path has taken him through Vedantic, Buddhist, Sufi, and Taoist practices and he has been planted since 1993 in a mystical Christian tradition. For further details, see this site.
