Professional development for Waldorf Teachers

Course Description

Nettie Fabrie and Wim Gottenbos are two seasoned and highly experienced Waldorf Teachers. They have worked in Waldorf Schools for over 40 years both here in the USA and internationally, and they will bring and share their insights and wisdom by teaching The Foundations of Learning, Child Development, Curriculum overview and Math. As a summer intensive student,  you will be contemplating and exploring the following:

What are the questions the students of today are asking from us? How can we help them within the classroom setting?

How can we work remedially in the classroom and meet the challenges of our student population?

In the afternoon, Kate Golden will introduce the Art of teaching Language Arts, Poetry and Music in Grades 1 & 2. Kate Golden is currently teaching at SWS and has 20 years of experiences as a class teacher to draw from.

The day will take you from Classroom preparation for Grades 1 & 2 to Curriculum and Therapeutic Painting and end with movement Games and Folk Dances - a rich program that will surely prepare you for an exciting new year, and leave you eager to meet your students in September!
